'Souvenir' is the story of one of the most influential synth-pop bands of all time. It is my tribute to the two songwriters and musicians who supplied the sound track to my youth. In the next twelve months, an edit of my film might be shown on television somewhere in the world, but the ninety-five minute version that you can order here will never be broadcast. You will be buying one of just three thousand copies of the 'director's cut'. The project has taken 18 months to complete but the finished film has made it all worthwhile. I couldn't have done it without the help and full cooperation of Andy McCluskey, Paul Humphreys, Mal Holmes and Martin Cooper – the friendliest and most approachable superstars you could ever wish to meet.
